About iSignOn
iSignOn allows you to use any signature, drawing or hand writing to get access to your secret passwords and/or a set of personal web pages. You can set or change your secret drawings or signatures any time.
With iSignOn, you do not need to enter your password for web applications (Facebook, Google mail, etc.). Instead you can simply touch draw your signature or password on the screen of the iPhone or iPod.
The security of signature recognition depends on the training process. If you draw your signature in a consistent manner during training, it would then be hard for an impostor to cheat the recognition step even if they know your signature. However, this may increase the reject rate for genuine signatures.
Users should be aware of the trade off between security and usability while training the system. Inconsistent signature entries in training increase the signature acceptance rate but decrease the ability to detect fraudulent signatures.
